Twitter Users Call B.S. On Donald Trump’s Latest Coronavirus Spin

Social media users didn’t buy President Donald Trump’s latest attempt to spin the narrative on the coronavirus crisis.

“Coronavirus deaths are way down,” Trump boasted on Twitter late Thursday, as the United States saw yet another record spike in daily confirmed cases of the virus.

Trump also falsely claimed the mortality rate in the United States is “one of the lowest in the World” and the economy is “roaring back and will NOT be shut down.” ″‘Embers’ or flare ups will be put out, as necessary,” he added.

Many people on Twitter pointed out how the surge in infections that followed many states’ easing of lockdown restrictions will likely translate into an increased death toll in the next month.

Others noted that Trump has downplayed the seriousness of the pandemic from the start, allowing the virus to claim more lives.

Coronavirus deaths are not way down they are increasing and more than 120,000 Americans have perished. It wasn’t too long ago that Trump said we’d have zero deaths and zero cases and that the virus would go away by summer. He is nothing but a total and incompetent buffoon.
